I do not know how the money was donated possibly the members of the Galesburg, Kansas Christian Church took up a collection for the stained glass window and plaque In Memory of Mr. & Mrs. L. M. Magner.

Susan, I found the article from The Thayer Newspaper dated February 16th, 1912 detailing the recent addition and remodeling done to the Galesburg M.E.Church. The members held a fundraiser. The memorial windows were put in as part of the remodeling. The article doesn't state how families or individuals were selected for the memorial windows. Mr. and Ms. L.M.Magner's window is one of four windows on the South side of the church.
