The groom, Herman C. Simmons was 25 years old and worked at a creamery in Erie, Kansas.  The bride, Corenne D. Magner was 20 years old and a secretary from Galesburg, Kansas.

Regarding the Herman's place of birth, Kimball was originally spelled with one "L" Kimbal, but was changed in 1950.  The town was platted as a town in 1888 with its first post office established that May.  The post office closed in 1956.
