                                   GALESBURG PIONEER DEAD
                     Mrs. Elvina Fritz Boje, 90, Was Born in Prussia

Erie - Mrs. Elvina Fritz Boje, 90-year-old pioneer of this vicinity died this morning at 2:15 o'clock at her home in Galesburg after a days illness.  Funeral services will be held at the Galesburg Christian Church, but the time was not announced late this afternoon.

Elvina Fritz was born June 1, 1848 in Prussia.  She came to America with her parents at the age of 9 and settled in Ottawa, Illinois. 

She was married to Christopher Boje in 1868.  They moved to Kansas in 1869 and settled near Galesburg.  Mr. Boje died in 1881.  A daughter, Minnie, died in infancy and a son, Will died in 1918.

She was a member of the Christian Church at Galesburg.

Survivors are three daughters; Mrs. Iona Craig and Mrs. Mollie Carnahan of Erie, and Mrs. Etta Magner of Galesburg, and a son, Henry Boje of Ashland, Oregon.  She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Craig of Erie were with Mrs. Boje at the time of her death.
