ETTA MAE MAGNER

ERIE - Mrs. Etta Mae Magner, 90, pioneer, Galesburg resident died there are 4:15 p.m. Sunday.  She had been in critical condition only a day.

Mrs. Magner was born Etta Mae Boje on February 4, 1871 at the northeast edge of Thayer, the daughter of Christopher and Elvira Boje.  She had spent her entire life at Galesburg. 

She was married September 15, 1891 to Samuel B. Magner, who died in 1943.  She was a member of the Christian Church.

Survivors include two daughters; Mrs. D. G. Springer, Galesburg and Mrs. Fred Clark, Cheyenne, Wyoming; two sons; Ralph and L.A. both of rural Galesburg.  Fifteen grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Galesburg Christina Church at 3 p.m. Tuesday by the pastor, Myrl Powers.  Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, directed by the Pierce Home of Erie.
